Guy has worked as Mechanical Engineer in a number of technical companies over the past 25 years. He has specialized experience in vacuum technologies, nuclear pipe support and new vacuum product R&D. He has worked for Stone & Webster Engineering and leading companies including International Vacuum Inc (IVI), Vacuum Process Technologies (VPT), Thayer Scale, Helix Technologies and XL Technology Systems.  In 2004 he relocated to Texas and helped form Scorpio Design Services, Inc. to provide design projects by contract assignment.  He is also co-owner of Motorheads Performance Shop as designer and builder of classic and custom autos.

Guy has been using computer aided drafting (CAD) technologies since 1987, when computers began replacing board drafting by lead and ink.  His training has progressed through many levels of AutoCAD releases, including:

• AutoCAD 14 LT
• AutoCAD 2000
• AutoCAD MAP 2000

Guy is experienced with new product R&D, working with customer specifications and developing new designs to meet project needs.  You'll find Guy is easy to work with, conceptualizes your needs quickly and develops designs that are efficient, compact and durable.  

Guy provides machine design, retrofits on existing assemblies and designs to make assemblies smaller and/or more efficient.  He has performed failure analysis on machine parts, with subsequent redesign to avoid failures.  His work has included design on continuous weighing conveyor systems, planetary coating assemblies used in high temperature vacuum coating, and design of thermal vacuum systems for space simulation chambers.

Guy has performed many architectural design projects for customers, including office buildouts, home additions, outbuildings such as garages, workshops, utility sheds and decking projects.
